Wamego church elects online vestry member

AMID CONVERSATIONS about whether churches should abandon online worship options developed because of COVID-19 or keep them, a small church in the Diocese of Kansas found that its online presence has not only kept its community together during the pandemic but has also attracted new people, some of them living hundreds of miles away. And in what may be a first for The Episcopal Church, the congregation elected an online member to its vestry.

St. Michael and All Angels celebrates 75 years

On December 18, 2021, the people of St. Michael and All Angels in Mission, KS gathered at the church in Spencer Hall, named for its first and founding rector, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the parish. The banquet featured a dinner, a slide show presentation highlighting each decade of the church’s history, and special guests.
