St. Stephen’s, Wichita Breaks Ground for New Pavilion

On February 18, 2024, Bishop Bascom joined the Very Rev. Laurie Lewis and members of St. Stephen’s Wichita to bless and break ground to begin construction of the church’s new Phillips-Thompson Pavilion. The pavilion will create a space for outdoor worship and special events for the people of St. Stephen’s and was made possible by memorial gifts from parishioners Innes Phillips and Bill Thompson. The Very Rev. Laurie Lewis shared, “We hope that this blessed space will connect our congregational life with our neighbors and nature.” Construction on the Phillips-Thompson Pavilion is scheduled to be completed in June.
