Kansas to Kenya has two planned fundraising events this Spring to raise funds for the Medical Team and Community Team trips in June.
Medical Team Fundraiser, Saturday, April 20, 2024, 5:30-8:30 pm @ St Margaret’s Episcopal Church, Lawrence
- Wine tasting, and hors d’oeuvres
- Sample several wines
- Enjoy an overview of the 2024 planned programs.
- Auction items and silent auction.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online.
Community Team Fundraiser, Saturday, May 4, 2024, 6-9 pm @ St. Thomas the Apostle, Overland Park
- Enjoy our traditional Kenyan meal and entertainment.
- Learn about the community programs planned for 2024.
- Auction items and silent auction.
Cost: $75 per person or $500 for a table of 8, purchase here.
NOTE: $50 of each individual ticket is tax deductible, or $400 per table.

Invitation to join the 2024 K2K Community Mission Team
Join the 2024 K2K Community Team and go to Kenya for an unforgettable experience. Now is the time to sign up for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Participants will make friends and share experiences with local Kenyans and organizations as we seek our goal of “community transforming community.”
Time will be spent at Agatha Amani House, a shelter for abused women, Karati Boarding School for challenged kids, a public elementary school, a Maasai Village, and church services at All Saints Anglican Church. Every day of the mission trip is filled with new experiences as we strengthen long-term and new relationships while helping with projects addressing the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, it’s not all work as we seize the opportunity to go on safari at one of the major national wildlife parks. We will see many African animals such as lions, giraffes, rhinos, water buffalo, and more up close in their natural habitat.
Note: This trip is great for college age students as well as high school age youth when accompanied by one or both parents.
