ONLINE SURVEY SEEKS YOUR OPINION

The Dream of KansasMembers of the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas are invited to offer their thoughts about a proposed diocesan-wide fundraising campaign by taking a confidential online survey. This is part of a larger study to determine the feasability of such a campaign.

The survey will be available May 8-21.

Before you take the survey, please read "The Dream of Kansas," the written campaign case for support, available here in PDF format. (You'll need Adobe Reader to see this document; if you don't have Reader, click here to download it for free.) "The Dream of Kansas" is also available as a Word document by clicking here.

Then click here to go to the survey, which was created by RSI, the Christian stewardship consulting firm hired by the diocese to conduct this study. All results will go directly to RSI; no one in the diocesan office will see any individual opinions.

Thank your for taking the time to offer your opinion. Your input is very valuable and greatly appreciated!

OTHER CAMPAIGN INFORMATION

A bulletin insert describing the May 8-21 online survey for all members of the diocese is available, in PDF format, by clicking here. It is suggested that parishes use the inserts during services on May 11 and 18.

A letter from Bishop Dean Wolfe to diocesan leaders describing the launch of the study in early April is available by clicking here.

WHAT'S NEW

BISHOP WOLFE JOINS IN STATEMENT ON IMMIGRATION
Bishop Dean Wolfe has joined his Methodist and Lutheran bishop counterparts in issuing a joint statement on immigration in Kansas.

The letter was released Feb. 13 to members of the Kansas Legislature and to members of three denominations. In it the bishops call on all Kansans to "reject demagoguery that is spreading its own kind of terror and fear." It also calls on national and state governments to more effectively deal with the millions of undocumented workers living in the United States. "The laws we have do not reflect the demographic and economic reality of our country," they write.

A copy of the letter in PDF format is available here.
