BISHOP WOLFE JOINS IN STATEMENT ON IMMIGRATION
Bishop Dean Wolfe has joined his Methodist and Lutheran bishop counterparts in issuing a joint statement on immigration in Kansas.
The letter was released Feb. 13 to members of the Kansas Legislature and to members of three denominations. In it the bishops call on all Kansans to "reject demagoguery that is spreading its own kind of terror and fear." It also calls on national and state governments to more effectively deal with the millions of undocumented workers living in the United States. "The laws we have do not reflect the demographic and economic reality of our country," they write.
